ISOPHANE GAS ANESTHESIA

• To maximize anesthetic safety - We understand that you are nervous when your pet is under anesthesia. All patients are constantly monitored during anesthesia by a doctor, a technician and mechanical devices. We call you as soon as your pet awakens and give you a progress report.

RESPIRATORY MONITORS WITH ALARMS ON EACH ANESTHETIC MACHINE

• As a safety factor to insure the patient is breathing normally at a regular interval.

PULSE OXIMETER

• To measure the percent of oxygen saturation of circulating blood during respiratory or cardiac disease or during anesthesia.

ELECTROCARDIOGRAM

• To check the heart for abnormal cardiac electrical rhythms and to screen the heart for enlargement. Used to; investigate the cause of heart failure, evaluate abnormal heart rhythms ,study extra or unusual beats, assess unusually fast or slow heart rates or unusual rhythms during anesthesia.

ULTRASOUND MACHINE - CARDIAC AND ABDOMINAL

• Allows noninvasive detailed examination of soft tissue structures inside the body. Ultrasound is great for looking at soft tissues such as the liver, spleen, kidneys, lymph nodes, pancreas, adrenal glands and fluid filled structures such as the heart, urinary bladder and gall bladder. It is not very effective in assessing bone, gas or air filled structures like the lungs.

RADIOLOGY - FULL SERVICE

• For examination of bones and air filled structures, like the lungs. To evaluate shape, size and position of soft tissue structures. To search for radiodense foreign material blocking the gastrointestinal tract or stones in the kidneys or gall bladder.

AUTOMATIC X-RAY PROCESSOR

• Develops consistently high quality x-rays in minutes.

DENTAL X-RAYS - WE HAVE A MACHINE LIKE THE ONE AT HUMAN DENTAL OFFICES

• To evaluate tooth roots and surrounding bone structures before removing or saving a questionable tooth. To look for tooth root abscesses and loss of bone attachment with infection or periodontal disease.

DENTAL AIR DRIVEN DRILL AND AIR/WATER FLUSH SETUP

• High and low speed drills with air and or water flush just like the setup at your dentist. For performing a variety of procedures on your pet's teeth in the least traumatic way possible.

DENTAL ULTRASONIC SCALER AND POLISHING UNIT ( LIKE YOUR DENTIST)

• To clean and polish you friend's teeth gently and effectively.

OCULAR TONOMETRY (TONOPEN)

• To screen for glaucoma when the eyes appear enlarged, inflamed or in predisposed breeds.

WALK ON DIGITAL SCALES

• To weigh large dogs easily and accurately. We have very accurate small digital scales for smaller dogs and cats. Our gram and ounce digital scale is perfect for birds and small mammals. We try to get a weight each time you come to Noahs Ark so we can follow any changes over time.
